Contract and Terms and Conditions

  1. For The Purpose of these Terms & Conditions, SSC shall mean The Secret Salon Club
  2. No Variations to these conditions shall be binding unless agreed in writing between the authorized representative of SSC and the Applicant.
  3. a) No Application shall be deemed to be accepted by SSC unless and until confirmed in writing.
    b) The Applicant shall be responsible to SSC for ensuring the accuracy of the application form, and for giving SSC any necessary information within a sufficient time to enable SSC to perform the contract in accordance with its terms.
    c) The Applicant will advise SSC immediately of any alteration of the details overleaf of the Applicant’s business and hereby confirms that such details are currently correct.
  1. SSC shall consider the Application and inspection report. All decisions with regard to acceptance are entirely at the discretion of SSC.
  1. a) A one-off non-refundable joining fee is payable within 14 days of a successful application being made.
    b) A Member fee is payable annually.
    c) All Fees are exclusive of VAT which the applicant shall be additionally liable to pay to SSC
  1. In the Event that SSC accepts the Application and the appropriate joining and annual member fees have been paid to SSC, The Home Salon shall be entitled to the following:
    a) To display the SSC Sticker, these may only be obtained from SSC
    b) To display the SSC logo on the home Salons letterhead, Pricelist, website, and other promotional material. The Applicant acknowledges that the SSC Logo is the exclusive property of SSC.
    c) A Listing and profile on the SSC website, adverts, publications should SSC decide the entry is relevant.
  2. From time-to-time, SSC may make special awards to a home salon in recognition of particular merit or standards being achieved. These are entirely at the discretion of SSC and may be withdrawn at any time.
  1. a) SSC will use all reasonable endeavours to ensure the accuracy of any entry relating to the applicant’s home salon, published on our site. The Applicant agrees that SSC shall not be responsible for any errors or omissions in such entries or for the future failure to include any such entry in any publication and that SSC will not be liable for any loss, damage, cost, or expense incurred by the Applicant as a result of any such error or non-publication. SSC shall however take steps to rectify any errors made.
    b) SSC reserves the right to make any changes at any time to the club.
    c) At all time, SSC reserve the right to make further inspections of the home salon and in the event that the following such as an inspection SSC, at its absolute discretion, can alter or withdraw membership, The Applicant shall observe and be bound by such a decision.
    d) The Applicant hereby grants to SSC its assignees or licensees an irrevocable nonexclusive free-to-charge license to store, use, merge, modify, publish, or reproduce any details, information, and photographs provided on behalf of the Applicant in relation to the home salon for purposes in any or all media now existing or hereinafter invented throughout the world for the period of any copyright existing in such including any renewals, reversions, and extensions thereof. For the avoidance of doubt, SSC shall not, subject to any obligations it may have under any other agreement, be obliged to use any of its right under this clause.
  2. The Applicant undertakes not to exhibit any signs bearing the SSC logo supplied by any other persons or concern other than SSC.
  3. SSC may terminate this agreement by no less than7 days prior written notice if the applicant:
    a) Fails to pay when due any sum payable under this contract.
    b) Fails to observe or perform any of the conditions on its part to be observed and performed and fails to remedy any such breach within 30 days thereof from SSC, then SSC may give written notice declaring this agreement is terminated at such future dates as it may designate, provided always that termination under this paragraph shall not entitle the Applicant to a refund of any sums paid or part, or prevent SSC from recovering any balance outstanding thereof.
  4. The Applicant further acknowledges that SSC shall be entitled to terminate the Agreement at its sole discretion upon giving the applicant seven days’ notice.
  5. On termination of the SSC appointment however so caused, the Applicant:
    a) At the Applicant’s own expense remove all SSC logos, certificates, Branding etc. and return them to SSC.
    b) Make no further use of any documents or material (e.g. Headed note paper) showing the SSC logo or otherwise indicating SSC recognition.
    c) Make no representation whatsoever that the home salon holds SSC recognition or membership.
  6. The Applicant agrees to always cooperate with SSC and its staff for all purposes.
  7. This Contract shall be governed by the laws of England.
  8. Notice for Cancellation requires 30 days notice.
  9. The Applicant agrees to maintain recognition/membership by SSC for a minimum of 12 months from the date of the application and/or from the date of the take-up of any additional services whichever is longer.
